25th - 26th Feb 2012Wow another exciting weekend at Winter Park - a repeat of last year. Qualified first in time trial but got nailed on a corner so Silver on the first day. Weather and visability not the greatest.
26th - really tough competition all National competitors from last year - but stoked to score Gold on the day.
Freezing cold day - when we checked the temperatures before we left unit it was -3 f. approx - neg 20 cel. A few of the competitors resorted to building a cave in the snow so we could try and keep warm and stay out of the windchill at the top of the course.
The last shot is of the right hand side of the base of Winter Park - you can see where the train runs behind the building - gave me a heck of a fright when I was walking back to the car. Loads of history surrounding the train running through WP.
Happy to be back on the couch at Dillon but really missing "NZ couch, oh and Dad and dogs".
